Barilla Farfalle originates from the North of Italy. Barilal Farfalle's cut takes inspiration from the shape of butterflies, in Italian "farfalle", and it's produced by pressing the central part of a square piece of pasta with a pinch.
With their smooth surface and their shape, Barilla Farfalle are recommended with delicate sauces: butter based sauces, with peas and chunks of cooked ham; white delicate sauces with cream and salmon; delicate and soft cheese sauces with a touch of saffron or curry.
